My face (through permutation) Pencil on paper (5 drawings total) each 12"x13" * A permutation is the act of changing the arrangement of a given number of elements, resulting in the total number of possibilities/combinations for that given set. This project is originally intended to include the measurements of my whole physical body; however, a starter project using just 13 points on my face was made. The question raised is: How many ways can one represent the same information? * These drawings would serve best as pencil on wall drawings, and, using the same calculations measurements, could be recreated on any wall. |

Drawing #1 - 13 points on my face were designated to be measured; calculations made to determine total measurement possibilities/combinations (78 measurement combinations); 2 detail images |
Drawing #2 - 78 measurements were taken of my face (the total # of possibilities given the 13 facial points) |
Drawing #3 - measured distances between facial points and drawn to scale; image detail |
Drawing #4 - grid of measurement possibilites (with measurements filled in)
Drawing #5 - the 78 measurements redrawn linearly
